So what is it? Instant orthodontics! Just imagine it. You could come to see us for a consultation, pay your money and I wave my magic wand and your teeth would be straight. How great would that be!? No brace, no discomfort, no time spent having to come for adjustments, and no retainers.<\/p>\n<p>Slight flaw in the plan though&#8230;&#8230;there is no magic wand (boooooo!). The reality is you need some sort of brace to straighten your teeth. The fact that your teeth can move relies on inflammation which causes discomfort in some. You need someone to adjust your braces, or at least check that the brace is working properly so that means regular appointments. And you definitely need to retain the result long term as well, otherwise as you grow and age your teeth will move again.<\/p>\n<p>So there it is folks &#8211; if you want to change your smile with orthodontics there is a bit of effort required (not to mention an investment). But, I can honestly report that no-one has ever got to the end of treatment and regretted it. We have never had anyone say it wasn&#8217;t worth it. Yes it was a little sore at times, yes it took over a year, yes they had to pay for it, but they all leave with a beaming smile and a big spring in their step.
